 50hz power supply
Just got my hands on the XGS pic 16 and I want to say - awesome piece of kit!
Coding-wise, looks as fun as the Apple IIe or C64!
Just wanted to know if I will need a frequency converter to power the board?
I have a 9V transformer @ 240~50hz, 300mA - can I just plug this in??
Will it have an effect on the internal clock? Will it fry the board?

You must be in a different country? But, as long as you put 9-12V DC <--- the line frequency doesn't matter. And 300ma is fine, the board probably pulls 200 ma with everything in.
Now, if the power was AC, then 50-60hz could potentially be a difference since that can have an effect on a voltages and impedences, etc. But, in our case, we just need 9V DC in tip +, ring -, 200 ma min, 300 ma nominal.

No problem. If you make something cool, post it somewhere and put up a link.
