 AI in flash romIs it possible to make a gneric type ai and put in hrdware and just make your games use ai around that type of ai?
the progect I am working for that is much more indepth but I thought I would mention it and see if any one thought it was possible or good idea. Jeremy Jeremy_king@dell.com |

AI in flash rom First, anything you can do in software, you can accelerate in hardware. Just like 3D graphics, you have to define the kinds of problems in the domain of "AI" that you want to accelerate and then accelerate them. AI really boils down to doing large vector operations, matrix operations, searching algorithms, and statistical algorithms, so these things can of course all be accelerated. You just have to decide what you want to do.
